Viewers invited to catch sports-related shows on ifilm

ifilm English TV invites viewers to catch sports-related hits '3-5-2' and 'Spare' on the channel's playlist.

ifilm’s new series ‘3-5-2’ as well as the movie ‘Spare’ have been added to the English channel’s playlist for eager viewers to get their sports-related viewing fix – join us!

Directed by Hossein Soheilizadeh and produced by Aziz Alizadeh as well as Mohammad-Ali Jenaghi, ‘3-5-2’ is a 2011 comedy production.

In the series, Heshmat owns a small fruit store and lives in an old house with his wife, three children and brother-in-law, a simple man happy with his simple life. That is until a long forgotten relative passes away and leaves him a vast inheritance.

Despite his hatred of anything having to do with football, and the fact that he knows absolutely nothing about the sport, Heshmat decides that buying a football team is the best way to invest his fortune, and modeling the team on the Brazilian national team's 3-5-2 formation will somehow guarantee him success.

Meanwhile, Borzou Niknejad’s comedic film ‘Spare’ recounts the story of a third class soccer team which climbs to the second category. Saeed, major player of the team, is injured at the last minute of the last game and his health is endangered. The story of the movie then takes shape.

The high-grossing Iranian film at the domestic box office, made in 2016, is scheduled to go on air at 22:00 GMT, Saturday, with repeats following the next day.

‘3-5-2’ has already started airing and will continue its run of all 36 episodes.
